Member Management

The People module is the core of AMS. Every member has a unified profile that tracks contact information, membership status, payment history, event attendance, engagement scores, and communications.

Member Profiles

Each member profile includes:

Click any member in the directory to view their full profile. All data is cross-linked — clicking a payment opens the invoice, clicking an event opens the event detail.

Member Directory

The directory is a searchable, filterable list of all members. Use it to:

  • Search by name, email, or phone
  • Filter by membership tier, status, join date, or custom fields
  • Segment members into groups for targeted communications
  • Export filtered results as CSV

The directory supports both a table view and a card view. Switch between them using the toggle in the toolbar.

Membership Tiers

Tiers define the levels of membership in your organization. Each tier has:

  • Name — Display name (e.g., "Gold Member", "Corporate Sponsor")
  • Dues Amount — The recurring fee for this tier
  • Billing Frequency — Monthly, quarterly, or annual
  • Benefits — Text description of what this tier includes
  • Module Access — Which AMS modules members of this tier can access through the portal

Navigate to People → Membership Tiers to create, edit, or reorder tiers.

💡Tier changes take effect on the next billing cycle. If a member upgrades mid-cycle, the system prorates the difference.

Digital Membership Cards

Every active member gets a digital membership card that can be shared via link or displayed on a mobile device. The card includes:

  • Member name and photo
  • Organization name and logo
  • Membership tier
  • Member since date
  • QR code for event check-in

Generate cards from the member profile or in bulk from the directory.

Import and Export

Import:

  1. Navigate to People → Import
  2. Upload a CSV file
  3. Map columns to AMS fields (name, email, tier, etc.)
  4. Review the preview — the system highlights duplicates and validation errors
  5. Confirm to create member records

Export:

  1. Apply any filters in the directory
  2. Click Export in the toolbar
  3. Choose CSV format
  4. The export includes all visible columns plus membership and payment data
ℹ️Imports de-duplicate by email address. If a member with the same email already exists, the import updates their record rather than creating a duplicate.

Engagement Scoring

AMS automatically calculates an engagement score for each member based on:

  • Event attendance frequency
  • Email open and click rates
  • Portal login activity
  • Payment timeliness
  • Community participation (forums, committees)

Scores refresh on a scheduled timer. Use engagement scores to identify at-risk members who may not renew and target them with re-engagement campaigns.
