Learning & Certifications

The Learning module lets you create courses, manage certifications, and track continuing education credits. Especially valuable for professional associations that manage CEU/CPE requirements.

Courses

Navigate to Learning → Courses to create educational content:

1. Click New Course
2. Enter the course title, description, and category
3. Add lessons — each lesson can contain text content, video embeds, or file attachments
4. Add quizzes to test comprehension at lesson or course level
5. Set completion criteria (e.g., pass all quizzes with 80% or higher)
6. Publish the course

Members enroll in courses through the portal or admin assignment. Progress tracking shows which lessons are complete and quiz scores.

Lessons

Each course contains one or more lessons in a defined order:

Field	Description
Title	Lesson name
Content	Rich-text body with embedded media
Order	Position within the course
Duration	Estimated completion time
Required	Whether this lesson must be completed for course completion

Quizzes

Add assessment quizzes to verify learning:

1. Create quiz questions (multiple choice, true/false, short answer)
2. Set the passing score
3. Configure retry policy — unlimited attempts, limited attempts, or single attempt
4. Quiz results appear on the member's learning profile

Certification Programs

For organizations that manage professional certifications:

1. Navigate to Learning → Certifications and click New Program
2. Define the certification name, requirements, and validity period
3. Link required courses to the certification
4. Set renewal requirements (courses, credits, or both)
5. Configure expiration notifications

When a member completes all requirements, the certification is automatically awarded with an issue date and expiration date.

CEU/CPE Credits

Track continuing education credits for members:

• Assign credit values to courses, events, or external activities
• Members view their credit balance and history on their portal profile
• Generate credit transcripts for members to submit to licensing boards
• Set credit requirements per certification renewal cycle

💡CEU/CPE tracking is especially useful for the Association engine. Map your courses and events to credit categories that match your industry's licensing requirements.

Digital Badges

Issue digital badges for achievements:

• Course completion
• Certification earned
• Event attendance milestones
• Volunteer hour thresholds

Badges display on the member's portal profile and can be shared externally.
