Advocacy
The Advocacy module helps organizations track legislative issues, mobilize members through action alerts, and run advocacy campaigns. It is available for Association, Nonprofit, and Chamber engines.
Legislative Issues
Track legislation and regulatory matters relevant to your organization:
- Navigate to Advocacy → Issues and click New Issue
- Enter the issue title, description, and current status
- Link to relevant legislation or regulatory filings
- Set the organization's position (support, oppose, monitor)
- Track status changes over time
Action Alerts
Mobilize members to take action:
- Navigate to Advocacy → Action Alerts and click New Alert
- Describe the issue and the requested action (contact a representative, sign a petition, attend a hearing)
- Provide contact targets — names, offices, phone numbers, email addresses
- Set the urgency level
- Distribute via email, SMS, or portal notification
Members receive the alert and can take action directly from the notification.
Advocacy Campaigns
For sustained advocacy efforts:
- Create a campaign with goals, timeline, and messaging
- Link related legislative issues
- Send multiple action alerts as the campaign progresses
- Track member participation — who took action, when, and how
ℹ️Advocacy is most commonly used by professional associations and chambers of commerce for government relations. Nonprofit organizations use it for cause-based mobilization.
