Mission Member Groups

The Groups page displays small groups, community groups, and other gatherings that members can connect with. Access it from the Mission Portal sidebar under Groups.

Browsing Groups

Groups are shown in a responsive card grid. Each card displays:

  • Group name
  • Group type badge — a small label indicating the category (e.g., "Small Group", "Ministry", "Interest")
  • Description — a brief summary (truncated to 2 lines)
  • Meeting schedule — day and time (e.g., "Tuesdays at 7:00 PM")
  • Location — where the group meets
  • Member count — current number of members (and maximum capacity if set)

Group Types

Your organization sets the group type for each group. Common types include:

  • Small Group — Bible study or life group meeting weekly
  • Ministry — Serving team or ministry area
  • Interest — Hobby or interest-based community group
  • Support — Grief, recovery, or care groups
  • Youth — Age-specific groups

Joining a Group

The groups list is a read-only directory in the current portal UI. To join a group, contact your organization's groups coordinator or the group leader directly using the contact information in the group description.

Groups at Capacity

When a group shows "N members / MAX max", it is at capacity. Contact the group leader to get on a waitlist or find an alternative group.

No Groups Listed?

If the groups page is empty, your organization has not yet added groups to The One Mission database. Contact them directly to find groups to join.
