Announcements

The Announcements page shows messages broadcast by your MSP to all clients or to your specific company.

Viewing Announcements

Navigate to Announcements in the left sidebar.

You see a list of all published announcements, ordered by publish date (newest first). Each announcement shows:

  • Title (in bold)
  • Full message body
  • Date published
  • An unread indicator — a small violet dot to the left of the title for unread announcements

Read/Unread Tracking

Announcements are automatically marked as read when you click on the announcement card.

  • Unread announcements have a violet border and a violet dot indicator
  • Read announcements have a standard gray border
  • The Dashboard shows a count of unread announcements in the header card

When you click an unread announcement, it sends a POST /portal/announcements/{id}/read request to mark it read.

Announcement Targeting

MSP administrators can target announcements to:

  • All clients — every company in the tenant sees the announcement
  • Specific companies — only named client companies see the announcement

As a portal user, you only see announcements that are either targeted to all clients or specifically targeted to your company.

Notification About New Announcements

New announcements increment the unread badge on the Dashboard and in the Announcements sidebar item. You may also receive an email notification if your MSP has configured email announcement notifications in your account settings.

Missing Announcements

If you expect to see an announcement but do not:

  • The announcement may be in draft or scheduled status (not yet published)
  • The announcement may be targeted to a different client company
  • Contact your MSP to confirm the announcement was published

MSP: Creating Announcements

Administrators create announcements in Admin → Announcements:

  1. Click New Announcement
  2. Enter a title and body text
  3. Choose targeting: All Clients or Specific Companies
  4. Set status: Draft (save for later), Scheduled (publish at a future time), or Published (live immediately)
  5. Click Save

Published announcements appear immediately for targeted clients. Scheduled announcements publish at the configured time.
