Activity Log
The activity log is CRM's record of every interaction with your contacts and companies. Activities are logged automatically from email sync, deal changes, and integrations — or manually by your team.
Activity Types

Manually Logging Activities
To log a call, meeting, or note:
- Open a contact, company, or deal record
- Click Log Activity
- Select the type (Call, Meeting, Note, or Task)
- Fill in the details:
- Calls: Subject, duration in minutes, description, outcome
- Meetings: Subject, date/time, attendees, description
- Notes: Content (supports pinning for important notes)
- Tasks: Subject, due date, description
- Associate with a company, contact, opportunity, or lead (pre-filled from context)
- Click Save
The activity appears on the timelines of all associated records.
Activity Timelines
Activities appear on three types of timelines:
- Contact timeline — All activities involving this specific contact
- Company timeline — Aggregated activities from all contacts at this company
- Deal timeline — Activities specifically related to this opportunity
Each timeline is chronological (newest first) and filterable by activity type.
💡Pin important notes to the top of a contact's timeline so your team sees critical context immediately — like "Decision maker, prefers email over phone" or "Budget approved for Q2."
Activity Log Filters
Filter activities by:
- Type — Show only calls, only emails, only meetings, etc.
- Date range — Activities within a specific period
- Owner — Activities logged by a specific team member
- Company — All activities for contacts at a specific company
- Contact — Activities for a specific person
Activity Reports
Access activity reports from Sales > Activities or Reports:
By Rep
See each sales rep's activity volume:
- Calls made, emails sent, meetings held
- Tasks completed vs. overdue
- Activity trend over time (daily, weekly, monthly)
By Company
Activity volume per company:
- Total interactions this period
- Last contact date
- Most active contact at the company
- Engagement trend
By Time Period
Aggregate activity across the team:
- Daily/weekly/monthly totals by type
- Compare periods (this month vs. last month)
- Identify slow days or seasonal patterns
Activity Notifications and Reminders
CRM can notify you about activity-related events:
- Task due date reminders — Notification when a task is approaching its due date
- Follow-up reminders — Based on the "Next Action Date" field on deals and contacts
- Stale deal alerts — When a deal has no activity for a configurable number of days
Configure notification preferences in Settings > Preferences.
